The Company will do its best to collect the correct data, which will then be revised, deleted or updated if necessary or at the request of the data subject.
The collected data will be retained for as long as necessary, taking into consideration the purpose for which it was collected and the period of time defined in accordance with the existing regulations.
The Company will collect and process personal data only if and to the extent that the following rules apply:

  • Processing is necessary for compliance with legal obligations;
  • The data subject has consented to processing of his or her personal information;
  • Processing is necessary in relation to a contract in which the data subject is a party, or in order to take measures before entering into a contract at the request of the data subject;
  • Processing is necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or those of another natural person;
  • Processing is necessary to represent the legitimate interests of the Company or of associated companies.

The Company is aware of the importance of personal data protection to our users and data subjects. Therefore, we wish to give you an overview of the personal data we collect as well as the ways we process the said data and care for their protection:

Collection and use of personal data
Personal data include information that identify you, either directly or indirectly, such as your name, e-mail address, telephone number, IP address and postal address.
The Company does not collect your personal data unless you specifically provide such data (for instance, when joining loyalty programs, subscribing to e-mail newsletters, participating in surveys, competitions or sweepstakes, ordering samples or brochures, asking for donations or requesting information).
We store, use, or transfer your personal data only to the extent – with respect to content and time – needed in each specific case, for instance, to respond to your queries, fulfill your requests or inform you about our products or the results of competitions or sweepstakes. To do that, it may be necessary for the Company to sometimes transfer personal data to other companies within Atlantic Grupa or to external service providers for further data processing. Service providers may, for instance, be engaged in the context of providing call center services, shipping goods, distributing advertising materials or organizing and executing sweepstakes. The Company requires that these parties adhere to the existing regulations and our own instructions, and comply with our internal rules of personal data protection. Any other transfer of your personal data, for instance, the transfer of logon data from our website to a third party’s social network website, or to an internet service such as Facebook or Instagram, requires your explicit prior consent.
The Company guarantees that it will not sell or lease your personal data to third parties outside its business system.
We may, however, have to disclose your personal data to an authorized public administration body if so required by law or some other binding regulation.

Use of personal data for advertising and marketing purposes
In case you give your express consent to the use of your personal data for advertising and marketing purposes, your data will be stored and used for these purposes only, e.g. for sending newsletters, product samples, invitations to participate in competitions and sweepstakes, via e-mail or regular mail, or some other communication channel that you have accepted.
Furthermore, data collected for the purpose of distributing the newsletter will be stored with the Mailchimp service and used for this particular purpose; data collected for advertising purposes will be stored with Facebook and Google services; while data collected for website analytics and statistics monitoring will be used and stored with the Google service.
We may use your data when creating and maintaining a user profile with the purpose of ensuring an individually tailored provision of ads and promotions. We will use your data as needed to analyze and improve the efficiency of our online services, advertising, marketing, market research, and sales efforts.

Termination, right to data
You may rescind your consent to the use of any or all of your personal data at any moment. Upon receipt of the request to rescind consent, your data will be deleted within a reasonable time frame.
Upon receiving your request, we will notify you within an appropriate time frame whether we have collected your personal data during your visits to our website and which data has been collected.
Please send any queries you might have to melem@melem.com or to the address of the Company’s headquarters available on our website.

Children
We do not collect data on children. If we learn that such information has been transferred to us without prior consent of the child’s parents or legal guardians, we will delete it as soon as possible. In doing so, we will follow the guidelines we have received from you as the child’s parents or legal guardians.

Data security
We have implemented the technical and organizational measures necessary to prevent your data’s loss, alteration or theft, or access to it by unauthorized third parties.

Updates and changes
We reserve the right to modify or update parts of the data at any time and without prior notice. Visit the website from time to time to learn about any changes or updates to notifications. We will indicate the start date of the notification application.

Limitation of liability
While we take the available technical, organizational and personnel measures of protecting personal data against accidental or deliberate misuse, destruction, loss, unauthorized changes or access by third parties, we cannot guarantee that some of the personal data we collect will never be disclosed by accident, contrary to the provisions of this Privacy Policy.
We exclude the liability for damage caused to users or third parties by accidental disclosure of personal data to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Seeing as we do not have control over the personal data you submit when accessing or using other websites and portals, or data submitted directly to third parties (e.g. when participating in sponsored activities), we exclude the liability for damages that may arise to either you or any third parties from such submission of personal data to the maximum extent permitted by law.
